What should I write in practice for IGCSE?

I'm going to upload any short stories that I have to write for my English GCSE, because why not?! I loved writing them and I might as well share them - it would be a shame for them to just sit in my folder!
What are some good story ideas for GCSE?
[9] Jealous woman (or man) chases husband (wife) to find out where they're going. Could link to 'Medusa', 'Havisham', or 'Othello'. Start this story when they decide to chase / follow. Use flashback, or recollection to explain why. [10] Small child really wants to go to another child's birthday party but there's a problem.
What makes a short story get an a?
What will get you the A* is 2 things closely linked. First, pay close attention to the form of a short story. A short story usually doesn't start at the beginning (nor should it have a middle or and ending - which i will explain), it starts at a moment in a character's life.
